Mr. Atwell handles contract litigation, probate litigation, real estate litigation, commercial lending and transactional matters in both Texas and Colorado. Mr. Atwell's past and current clients include Fortune 500 corporations, small businesses and affluent individuals. Mr. Atwell believes in cost-effective litigation and the ethical pursuit of every client's objectives. Mr. Atwell's experience at a well-regarded commercial litigation boutique and smaller litigation offices helped form his approach.

For five years, he worked in Dallas for Carrington Coleman Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP. In 1996, Mr. Atwell moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, eventually becoming a partner in the AV-rated firm, Oliphant Hammond O'Hara and Atwell, LLC, in Steamboat Springs. Mr. Atwell handles a variety of complex litigation and real estate matters and has extensive experience working with financial institutions. He handles construction litigation, probate litigation, estate administration, debtor/creditor issues and commercial disputes for clients. Mr. Atwell's transactional practice includes the formation of real estate investment entities, commercial loan documentation, and a variety of real estate and corporate transactions. Mr. Atwell has a BV Distinguished rating from Martindale-Hubbell.
